The HealingCrow forum on Yahoo Groups found here is a great place for community support for IBD related diseases, the SCD diet and other medical and alternative medicine ideas.  The HealingCrow name comes from the organization http://www.healingcrow.com/.  The Healing Crow Inc. is a grassroots charity with a mission to inform the public about viable non-drug related approaches for treating chronic illnesses.

Established in the Fall of 1999, The Healing Crow idea was inspired by the trials and tribulations of their President, Seth Barrows who was diagnosed with Crohn’s and put through the standard medical treatments that ultimately made him vow to find a cure on his own.  Ultimately he was pointed to the Dr. Atkins’ New Diet Revolution by a friend.  Though he was skeptical about a low carbohydrate diet it made him feel better and put him on his path of studying diet and IBD.  

I think Seth’s story is very interesting because so many of us have had to do the same kind of stumbling till we fall upon a low carb diet in our quest for managing our IBD.  There is a lot of grat information on the HealingCrow site and the afore mentioned Yahoo group of the same name so please explore and learn.
